An auxiliary transmission oil cooler is an economical way to protect against costly transmission repairs caused by excessive heat in automatic transmissions. Automatic transmission fluid cools, lubricates and cleans internal transmission components. But when transmission temperatures exceed 200 degrees, the performance of the transmission fluid is greatly diminished. The results are reduced life span of fluid, seals and moving parts and increased wear of friction and clutch plates.

Hayden transmission coolers can reduce transmission temperature by as much as 60 degrees. (A reduction of just 20 degrees can double the life of an automatic transmission, the fluid and all internal parts.)
